hometown aka kampung life.

yo. i shall keep my promise to make an update in my blog. i always left my blog abandoned because i always think that pictures would cheer my blog up but then i was lazy to upload the pics so yea. ;D anyway, what a "quality" post, imma blog about kampung life. this time i came back with a different thought. normally i would complain when i was going back to the hometown (kampung) at my mom's side. no air cons, poor network coverage, no internet (not even a comp), no astro, no shopping mall, no whatever we the people want now. :( AND, during the noon, the weather is HOT and there are lots of flies and mosquitoes everywhere!

how nice right? but we should learn to think on the bright side too. yea, you can't ignore the cons about kampung but you can think on the bright side though. 1st, it's a really peace and quiet place there. I managed to study on my own in this situation. :D

2nd, it's really CHEAP there! seriously, you can dapao this big bag of noodles for RM10 ONLY which is enough to feed about 5 person.

It's really A LOT. In KL, one bag of noodle for 1 person is around RM5 or more. You can save a lot in kampung!

And SWEETS especially, it's like me and my bro's paradise! We bought 2 bags of sweets and snacks for RM6 ONLY!

Big top lolipops, 1 for 10cents

Oh ya, the weather isn't that bad if it's not a sunny day. It can be windy tooooooo. Something nice about kampung is you get to maintain a healthy lifestyle

my cousin playing badminton.

the other cousin. same age as me. (hints : he's HOT and is FREAKING TALL)

Anyway, I update my blog today cos it's kinda a free day already. I left 2 more important papers, which are paper 3 for physics and chem. :) All these hardcore days/nights really were bloodsucking. But it was better than mid term which I don't know why. LOL but at least I still put some efforts. Sighs. Hope I don't screw up. =/

Okay, the worst paper of all was BIO because I couldn't wake up to study in the middle of the night, and ended up didn't know a single thing that was asked. Add maths was bad as hell too but better than bio. -.- Other papers were just manageable, definitely can't do it excellently as it was a last minute of study.

HAHA. The ending of exam really excites me as it reminds me of HOLIDAYS! :DDDDDDDDD But I hope I can spend the holiday meaningfully. Hmmm, any plans to spend my holidays to the fullest? OH YA, I WANNA DYE MY HAIR. SO BADLY, DESPERATELY. ;) I hope so. but for no reason. -.-

Okay, it's time to go. =P

ps. dad came home with a new car yesterday. -.- that was random.
pss. the new car number is same as my mom's car. even more random.

time to revive my blog.

Hi, sorry for the lack of updates. :) I was lazy, and no doubt I've gained weight again during holidays. F*ck that. Even my uncle (and other relatives too) said I got fatter. Ahem, my tummy is really big right now, I used to have flat tummy, LIKE REALLY (almost) FLAT. T_T In total, I've gained 7 kg, believe it or not it's not your problem. And my current weight is the heaviest I have so far.

Anyway, movies update. :D

Vampires Suck
4.5/10
Vampires really suck. The stars I rate are for its funniness and for Matt Lanter! But all thanks to nuffnang for sponsoring me the tickets! I haven't mentioned about me winning the tickets, have I?

I really do love Nuffnang. ^^

Yea, I watched it like finally. Agree that this show is much better than the previous ones. Still, it's kinda like, wth?

My So Called Love
6.5/10
Some random chinese show I clicked on PPS. Sweet, but kinda unexpected too. Not bad.

7/10
I've been wanting to watch this CNY movie. Love show, and touching. But I really wanna watch this in Cantonese. But PPS is a chinese software, they show the chinese wan. =( I'm pretty sure it will be much better if its in cantonese.

Go Lala GO!

When In Rome
7.5/10
Nothing to say. But it's kinda nice.

The Bounty Hunter

Just okay okay. Gerald Butler's "Nope" make me feel like laughing.

Leap Year

Watched this at the cinema. It's a comedy, that's all I can say. =P

This is quite awesome! Sad, and also charming love story, Liam is oh-so-cute.

Date Night
6.5/10
Unexpected. Hmm, not really about love in this show.

Youth in Revolt

I call this lame. Not the story lame or whatever. Haha.

1 Malaysia?

MUST READ!

This is a very good article from a younger generation and a great granddaughter of Tunku Abdul Rahman. A very well expressed opinion of how all Malaysians should be treated.

IF THIS IS THE VOICE OF YOUR YOUNGER GENERATION IN MALAYSIA , YOU WILL BE BLESSED.

By The Tunku's Great Granddaughter
This is a great piece. She has all the qualities of her great grandfather. Tunku has reason to be proud of her!

Sharyn Lisa Shufiyan, 24, Conservationist

Both my parents are Malay. My mum's heritage includes Chinese, Thai and Arab, while my dad is Minangkabau. Due to my skin colour, I am often mistaken for a Chinese.

I'm happy that I don't have the typical Malay look but I do get annoyed when people call me Ah Moi or ask me straight up "Are you Chinese or Malay"

Like, why does it matter? Before I used to answer "Malay" but now I'm trying to consciously answer Malaysian instead.

There's this incident from primary school that I remember till today. Someone told me that I will be called last during Judgement Day because I don't have a Muslim name. Of course, I was scared then but now that I'm older, I realise that a name is just a name. It doesn't define you as a good or bad person and there is definitely no such thing as a Muslim name. You can be named Rashid or Ali and still be a Christian.

I've heard of the 1Malaysia concept, but I think we don't need to be told to be united. We've come such a long way that it should already be embedded in our hearts and minds that we are united. Unfortunately, you can still see racial discrimination and polarisation. There is still this ethno-centric view that the Malays are the dominant group and their rights must be protected, and non Malays are forever the outsiders.

For the concept to succeed, I think the government should stop with the race politics. It's tiring, really. We grew up with application forms asking us to tick our race. We should stop painting a negative image of the other races, stop thinking about 'us' and 'them' and focus on 'we', 'our' and 'Malaysians'.

No one should be made uncomfortable in their own home. A dear Chinese friend of mine said to me once, "I don't feel patriotic because I am not made to feel like Malaysia is my home, and I don't feel an affinity to China because I have never lived there.

I know some baby Nyonya friends who can trace their lineage back hundreds of years. I'm a fourth generation Malaysian. If I am Bumiputra, why can't they be, too? Clearly I have issues with the term.

I think the main reason why we still can't achieve total unity is because of this 'Malay rights' concept. I'd rather 'Malay rights' be replaced by human rights. So unless we get rid of this Bumiputra status, or reform our views and policies on rights, we will never achieve unity.

For my merdeka wish, I'd like for Malaysians to have more voice, to be respected and heard. I wish that the government would uphold the true essence of parliamentary democracy. I wish for the people to no longer fear and discriminate against each other, to see that we are one and the same.

I wish that Malaysia would truly live up to the tourism spin of Malaysia truly Asia. Malaysians to lead - whatever their ethnic background. Only ONE NATIONALITY MALAYSIAN. No Malays, No Chinese, No Indians - ONLY MALAYSIANS. Choose whatever religion one is comfortable with.

The Grown-Ups.

I guess you really should know that sometimes, it's just TOO MUCH. The way you acted only made me feel disgusted. Seriously, why the f*ck do you care? You don't even have the RIGHTS to judge me. Please stop all sorts of behaviors like that, can't you? I'm keeping real calm, and real low too, before it reaches the boiling point

I really had the urge of saying "F*ck off". But, I didn't. Because that actually shows me a loser and paranoid, that means I'm the one who's guilty. So that's the reason why I only blog about it now but not at that day. Yea, stop all these comments or to make it sound nicer, suggestions. I didn't even effing talk about you, never had I done that.

If you didn't care, well, then you wouldn't say those or read this. But I think you will be reading this because you care so much by giving all these "suggestions". So I actually posted this up. Come on, sometimes what you have in your mind, they don't have to COME OUT from your mouth. You get me? I hope you're smart enough to understand. Get a life and grow up!

Yours sincerely,
huiwen

Why Vampires Suck.

Hello folks. After the screening of twilight saga, I see loads of vampires madness everywhere! I see many books written based on vampires, t-shirts, tv shows like vampire diaries... Whatever you can think of! Even the kids nowadays prefer vampires rather than Casper the friendly ghost. Seriously, why is everyone crazy over them? Like why do people keep making vampires a hot topic? Well, now I'm one of those people too. Apparently, I'm not telling you how much they influence me nor how much I like them. I'm telling you WHY I HATE THEM!!!

First of all, they are fake! They think they can charm people with their outer beauty or what, but as a truth, they're already a few hundreds old. Like the girls' dear Edward Cullen, by his look he's 17 but his real age is 109 for now! They keep secrets inside because they can't reveal it to anyone, so they've to act & pretend! One word for all, FAKE!

Next, I think vampires are disgusting & gross! They hunt humans & animals. So basically, vampires eat their "prey" alive, when their "prey" is raw. YUCKS! That's gross. They eat all the organs in the animal/human's body with the mixture of blood! Well, for a human like me, I'll vomit if the drumstick I eat is not completely cooked. I'm saying the taste of blood, it's disgusting! But the vampires think it is tasty & delicious. *puke*

Talking about this I can relate them to cruelty. Somehow the vampires crave for blood so much & desperately. They would do ANYTHING just to fill in their tummy. Anything, like, breaking the bones of their "prey" & leave them pain to death? How selfish & cruel. That's really heartless, what if the humans are doing this to the vampires?

Also, I will NOT have one of them as my boyfriend because they're the cold ones! Ugh, cold in two ways. First, since they're the cold ones, I guess they're cold hearted as well. I can get hurt all the time just because of them, which definitely not worth my tears. Second, cold as in physically cold. Girls normally hug & cuddle up with boyfriend when they feel cold, so how does it feel when you hug a vampire? That means you will get even colder! LOL.

Lastly, I hate them because they act like a... pervert! Like Edward kept staring at Bella in the lab. What was he thinking? Hmm... I don't wanna know! How can you just stare at a person when you're just sitting right next to that person? Besides, what for vampires can read humans' minds? I guess they may be thinking, "what kinda underwear is she wearing"? or maybe "I think his/her blood just turns me on". =.=
That's all about the ugly truths of vampires. Now everyone say, VAMPIRES SUCK!

love the way you lie.

* * * * *
Two days ago, disappointment struck me. It wasn't your fault that you didn't "expect" my presence. To be honest, I wasn't angry but I just felt upset. It's okay, but next time will you please inform me earlier, and not to drag it until 15 mins before? It was pretty last minute and I had to have an unpleasant moment with my mom somehow.

So, that day was Academic day too. Hmm, my grades did not go too far, but marks were not satisfying as you can see from its average. However, I got an A for BM! How surprising? Though I didn't have much feelings as my mood was ruined. Btw, I was placed at 4th in the class position. Whatever.

LOL. Okay this is funny. I get over things quite fast. So, my bad mood got swept away by something nice! I was in tears before that, and suddenly I brightened up when my mom received a package from my brother! Inside the package, my SWATCH WATCH! I was like ohmygosh. Guess what, my brother actually lied to me saying he didn't buy, the sales was over and all that. Then, surprise!

See if you can spot the price? CHF is swiss franc.

omg so freaking preeeetttaaaayyyyyyyyy! ;)

This was taken by my phone. The quality sucks compared to dslr. :D
-
Also, he bought me and my family each a swiss army knife, which is a famous thing there.

It's engraved with my name. So I'll know it's mine if it goes missing/somebody steals it.
Spot my Sidney Sheldon book? ;)

My Teriyaki Pork Burger from Ninja Joe. =)

xoxo, you know you love me ;

Swiss View

Welcome me back. Alright, let me show you what's so beautiful in Switzerland!

Please note that these pictures are REAL. They aren't like those pictures you see in the magazine or wherever. Grabbed the photos from my brother, of course. Please DO NOT steal these pictures!

See that? The rainbow, and the green field and the houses! Like a country life, no?

.

and there goes something beautiful about the environment too......

PIGS! These are small piglets! =) Aren't they cute? Except the fact that they are smelly! Please do accept my apology if I have offended some of you. So, my conclusion is, Switzerland is a place for people who enjoy country life, and who love the nature!

Here comes the end of my post. Short one like usual. Oh, going for ice skating with friends tomorrow. :D

how nice!

Mrs. Salmon. Don't make me hate you. You humiliated me in front of everyone. How is that supposed to be fine? I wonder one day if you were me and I were you. That time, I would be even more mean to you. Watch out.

Hari Anugerah yesterday was... STUPID! I dunno how these people manage to give a speech non-stop for 45 mins, didn't you feel thirsty? I went there because of performance! Haha. I left early though. So, I don't know what happened to my certificate?

Anyway, you might want to see this!
A DSLR!

My brother's funny face!

Here are a few pictures taken when my dad bought it :

Okay, I dunno what happens when the pictures are being uploaded. Probably cos the photos size are too large. The walls are looking.... Retarded.

Results were out after holidays. Quite satisfying exclude BM. I can never get A for BM. It's only 1% more to get A.  I was placed at 10th in class position. So, teacher gave us our result slips on Friday. To my amazement, I jumped from 10th to 5th!

When I told my mom I got 10th, I asked whether I can get a laptop as a reward. She was like, No, 10th is not good enough, maybe 5th! Now, I'm the 5th! That means I'm getting a laptop, I hope so! Because they never really keep their promises. XD What brand, any suggestions?

Oh, 1 more thing, ytd, while I stepped into the school. I saw En Ishak, & I called him ISHAK! Then I was like shit, then I said Cikgu. He looked offended. Well, I didn't mean to.

Lots of Love,
huiwen.
